How $ome $exy $ongs 4 U Guide You to Say “I Love You”
Front cover art for $ome $exy $ongs 4 U.
$ome $exy $ongs 4 U offers relief from the tensions stemming from Drake’s rap battle. It is always inspiring to witness someone continuing to do what they love despite the voices daring them to stop.
It was a striking blow to see Drake labeled the Big Bad Wolf, who preys on vulnerability and unawareness.
As fans, music challenges us to believe rumors we randomly hear versus an artist who publicly makes music about their lifestyle.
We have received music from Drake to combat the rumors and love songs from PartyNextDoor to ease the wounds passion can cause.
The amount of music we received was thrilling.
What happens next?
Musical artists are spoiling us.
Almost rotten.
By the end of this blog, you’ll discover a way to spoil PartyNextDoor and Drake. Also a bold way to say “I love you” and encourage them to keep going.
As a bonus, you’ll feel good and understand why your support of an artist is essential.
Drake Announced A New Album
On August 2, 2024, while in the middle of a performance with PartyNextDoor, Drake promised to keep us warm with a collab album with PartyNextDoor (1).
A new album always excites us. It gives us insight into the life of an artist and inspires us to create art of our own.
So it’s understandable when comments from fans demanding the album be released trickled throughout PartyNextDoor’s Instagram. Just imagine the pressure they may have felt from us to release more music.
Albums don’t come out of thin air, but good things come to fans who wait.
While we waited, Jahron, better known as PartyNextDoor, gave us the Sorry I’m Outside Tour, sharing his passion and love for women.
Dancers boldly and sensually expressed their love as PartyNextDoor and his band provided the sounds for their movement. We celebrated with him. We vibed and sang along with PartyNextDoor on tour, drowning him with love.
Meanwhile, Aubrey, better known as Drake, returned to Australia on January 28, 2025, after 8 years with his Anita Max Wynn Tour.
Australia received Drake’s undivided attention.
Starting with karaoke in a close, intimate setting, Drake tested the waters with his Australian fans. Together, they sang along, welcoming each other to the city they’re from (2).
With all the love and focus on Australia, winter continued with no album.
Take a moment and ask yourself these questions:
How is it possible to produce an album and still entertain fans worldwide?
What is the motivation that keeps an artist active consistently?
$ome $exy $ongs 4 U Promotional Releases
Finally, after 6 months of waiting, we received a name and date for the album on February 3, 2025. The album, titled $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, debuted on February 14, 2025.
PartyNextDoor and Drake posted a short video on their Instagram, teasing us about what to expect. (3)
In the video, PartyNextDoor’s vocals sing a snippet from the song “Deeper,” taking us to a time when we wanted someone else besides the person we have now.
The camera slowly enters a room, and a woman stands up to a mic engulfed in karaoke as the song “Deeper” continues to play. Two other women sit together in high spirits, connecting through conversation. A close-up of Drake in the room shows him sitting on a couch. He’s lip-singing the lyrics to Deeper while watching the woman sing karaoke (4).
The teaser and the album’s name, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, let us know it is an album to chill and vibe to.
Drake released another promo video for $ome $exy $ongs 4 U on February 10, 2025.
YouTube personality stars Jermaine and Trevaunn Richards artfully crafted a short scene of friends showing support as they prepare a romantic scene for someone special on Valentine’s Day. The video, titled “$ay I Love You,” comedically expressed the many ways to say “I love you,” hyping up the release of “$ome $exy $ongs 4 U” (5).
$ome $exy $ongs Release Day
PartyNextDoor and Drake gave us the album on Valentine’s Day.
The album cover showcases the curves of the Absolute World Towers in Mississauga, Ontario, nicknamed the Marilyn Monroe Towers. It’s a history lesson and an ode to Canada—a peek into PartyNextDoor and Drake’s home.
The towers provide a backdrop for PartyNextDoor and Drake, who are covered in fur and surrounded by snow. It invites us to imagine how warm we can get within the towers and the furs. If there’s one thing Canadians understand, it’s surviving winter.
Releasing the album on Valentine’s Day was another way for PartyNextDoor and Drake to show appreciation for us, something they are well known for.
What more can we ask for?
